How to choose a pest control company

You can have both peace of mind and solutions to your pest control problems if you carefully select your pest control specialist. You'll want a professional, experienced, reliable company. Here's how to find one.

Choose a company that belongs to the National Pest Management Association or to the New Mexico Pest Management Association. These member companies have established places of business. As association members, they have access to the latest technical information on chemicals, insects, and the most up-to-date training programs.  And more importantly they must abide by a...

For more information on the New Mexico Pesticide Control Act refer to Chapter 76 Article 4 of the New Mexico State Statutes.

Any member violating these principals will loose their membership.

Training is particularly important because Federal regulations require that pest control personnel must be licensed or certified to apply chemicals. So check to make sure that your pest control operator is trained, licensed and he (or his supervisor) is certified!

When the pest control operator visits your home, have your questions ready. Ask him/her to identify your pests and explain what can be done to get rid of them. Ask how long the treatment will last and what the results will be. And don't forget cost and guarantee information. Get ALL the facts before you decide.

Who and what is the NPMA

The National Pest Management Association is a non-profit organization of professional pest control companies.

The association and its members care about pest problems. They also care about your environment, your safety, and your health.

That's why the association's professional staff scientists keep abreast of the latest technical advances in safe pest control methods, and give helpful information to their members. That's also the reason NPMA develops nationwide training programs for its members.

When an NPMA member pest control company comes to your home, the specialist will use a safe and effective treatment. You won't need to worry about your family or your pets. Only your uninvited guests need be concerned.
