Some pests must be controlled, while others can be eliminated. "Control" implies an ongoing implementation of some method of reducing pest problems. When control measures stop, the pests slowly begin returning. Eventually, the situation will return to the same condition prior to implementing the control measures, unless more permanent control measure are in place. A good example is a new window screen. The flies outside have not been eliminated, but control is and will be achieved as long as the screen is in place. We could not eliminate all the pests around your home, nor would we want to. But we can reduce the numbers of certain undesirable insects and other arthropods and control their access into your home. (See our Perimeter Service for more information.) Furthermore, elimination of all insects around your home means the "good bugs" are also gone. So much for home grown tomatoes.
Elimination usually refers to the removal of a certain infestation. The infestation is usually inside a building and can be completely removed. The building remains free of the infestation until such time that the pest is re-introduced to the building. This can happen by bringing them in on a pet (fleas), in boxes (various roaches), in appliances (German roaches) or even on a person (Bedbugs). Some infestations that can be eliminated include fleas, ticks, German and Brown-Banded roaches, bedbugs, honey bees and drywood termites to mention a few. In some cases control measures should be implemented to prevent re-infestation. If your home becomes infested with fleas and we eliminate that infestation, it would be prudent to regularly inspect your pets and provide some type of preventative control measures, i.e. on the pet treatments such as Frontline or oral tablets like Program, and a Perimeter Service to include suspected hotspots around the yard.
IF TOTAL Elimination of the specified pest is not achieved in the time allotted, we will continue to treat for FREE- Until Elimination is Achieved!
The crawlspace underneath a mobile home, pier & beam home or even an attic can be treated to eliminate pests and provide long term protection against a wide variety of pests. A highly effective, long residual dust is blown in for maximum effect. The dust is statically charged and clings to all surfaces and is especially great for dry areas. It has extremely low toxicity to humans (safe for re-entry in treated areas, dust mask recommended) and has no odor. This treatment should remain effective for a minimum of 6-8 months and under ideal conditions up to one year. This is also a good annual or semi-annual add on to any other service.
